NESS BANK
at the heart of the City of Inverness
This group, which began in 2016, now comprises some 16-20 ladies who all enjoy craft work of many kinds, and also like to meet to social chat. We ‘blether’ of course, but also work hard,
especially for items to sell at the annual Easter Table in the vestibule of the church, and at the Christmas Fayre. The generous support of the congregation and friends over the years at these events has allowed us to make donations to Church Funds.
We try to introduce new crafts to any who wish to participate, and plan to have a
programme during the coming session, of monthly ‘taster’ events. We have tackled wet
and needle-felting, silk painting, card making, and also the amazing Polyfilla pictures!
Our members share a wide range of skills and experience, and there is always someone to
help sort out a tricky challenge. Although knitting and crochet, cross-stitch and material
pictures remain perhaps our most popular crafts, we are always open to new ideas.
We meet every Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon in room 1, and are delighted to welcome
new members. A donation of £1 weekly helps keep our supply of tea, coffee and biscuits
topped up, and you are sure of a warm welcome and good conversation. We reconvene on
Tuesday 12th August, and hope to see you there.
For further information, please speak to any of these ladies:
