Boys' Brigade

 

The 2nd Inverness Company of Boys’ Brigade meet on a Wednesday evening at Ness Bank Church Halls from 6.30pm (see details below).
 

The Boys’ Brigade provides opportunities for young people to meet in their communities and engage in a range of fun and developmental activities.

 

Boys’ Brigade is one of the biggest Christian youth organisations in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The Boys’ Brigade motto is ‘sure and steadfast’ and their objective is:

​

"The advancement of Christ’s kingdom among boys

and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence,

discipline, self-respect and all that tends towards a

true Christian manliness.”

​

There are three different groups within the 2nd Inverness Company who meet on Wednesday evenings (during school term-time) in Ness Bank Church Halls at the following times:

 

  • Anchor boys (P1 to P3) meet to have fun, play games and do arts and crafts and occasional visits from 6.30 - 7.30pm.

 

  • Junior section (P4 to P6) explore Christian faith, take part in puzzles, games, arts, crafts and occasional visits from 6.30 - 7.45pm.

 

  • Company section (P7 to S6) explore Christian faith, learn new skills, learn about the community, physical training (including gymnastics and football) and take part in residential camps from 7.00 - 9.30pm.
