Friendship Club


 

Ness Bank Church’s Friendship Club has been running in its current form since 2015, providing an opportunity for the over 50s, male and female, to get together.
 

The meetings take place at 2pm on the first Monday of each month between September and April, with a talk or demonstration, followed by refreshments and time for a chat.
 

The topics covered have been many and varied, from demonstrations of woodworking, card-making, floral art, dolls’ houses and patchwork, to talks including Slides of Old Inverness, Country Ministry, Words without Songs, and an interview with Harry Gow. Over the years outings have included visits to Fort George, Culloden Battlefield, Floral Hall, Highland Museum of Childhood, Speyside Cooperage and Pluscarden Abbey. Christmas and pre-theatre meals have also been enjoyed, and trips to the theatre for the pantomime or plays e.g. Vicar of Dibley.
